NORDIC WALKING INSTRUCTORS: Nordic walking is a valuable tool that can add value to an existing Health or Fitness Business. New Zealand wide training available for people interested in becoming a Nordic Walking Instructor.
The Nordic Walking Fitness Association of New Zealand (NWFANZ) is the NZ Representative of the International Nordic Walking Association. INWA were the original developers of Nordic Walking training and continue to develop and refine techniques to reflect natural movement patterns. INWA has a worldwide network of member countries and is able to work with Professors, Researchers, Doctors, Exercise Scientists, Physiotherapists, Fitness Professionals and Product developers.
Nordic Walking has proven to be a phenomenon. Originally developed for the Finnish Olympic X-Country Skiers, many elite athletes, endurance competitors and the general population have taken up this inexpensive, but innovative activity. It also has applications for special populations groups, such as Parkinsons' Disease, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Breast Cancer, Osteoporosis, Obesity, Joint Replacement patients, Amputees and the Elderly.
Following the guidelines of Fitness NZ, we support the concept that a fitness activity should be taught by certified Instructors, ideally with a Health, Fitness or related field background. Therefore, Nordic Walking is a valuable tool that can add value to an existing Health or Fitness business.
The Instructor Course is taught by Health & Fitness Professionals who have longstanding careers in ther related fields. They have a unique understanding of New Zealand conditions, lifestyle and psyche, and travel overseas to keep up-to-date with new trends.
The Instructor course has been certified by the Register of Exercise Professionals, and carries 20 CEC's.
